WEEK1 TASK:
This is banksy painting from 2006 in London. It’s his take on the world famous Mona Lisa. I feel banksy wanted to express that people hyped about the original and I think he want to see what people thought about a modern Mona Lisa. He also used topic that are talked about a lot at the time with the RPG. This was one of the stencils that blew banksy into the main stream media and made his work world famous and the walls he paints on have been sold for wealthy amount of money. This painting only was sold for £57,600 in a UK auction to the Sotheby Olympia contemporary art sale.
